I don’t know about their heart, but my personal opinion has been that there’s no rush. You have to think there’s the darkness. Then there’s the loudness like you said. Then there’s the BIGGER than life action (ie, even a little bit of scary becomes VERY scary to a toddler on the big screen.) Then there’s the long period of sitting, and your other movie goers who really don’t need to see your child dancing in the aisle or screaming or crying. Then there’s the whole ‘programming’ issue of it. Most people keep their kids still by filling them with candy and soda. Yeah… this only programs the kids to eat these things while watching a movie or TV… not a good thing to do. So to me, they have to sit still the entire time without candy or food or something being given. (It doesn’t help how many commercials come on beforehand talking about soda, candy and popcorn.) Then there’s the whole ‘disease’ aspect of it. Okay, I’m not a germaphobic, but with the H1N1 flu going all over, and a toddler
