How to program garage door opener?

Hi. I recently bought my first BMW (used 2004 325i), and I am very excited. There is a circular label on the trunk door saying that it has a universal garage door opener, but I did not see any mention of it in the user manual, and I have not been able to figure out how to program it for my garage, or even where the garage opener button is. Any guidance in this respect will be greatly appreciated.
