A – No: Even if you are involved in a small amount of clinical practice, you will be required to revalidate and to fulfil all CPD requirements, including the requirement of 50 local category credits. In terms of your local category requirements, the College recommends that you make an arrangement with a local hospital to attend their local meetings; attendance at regional meetings can also be claimed in the local category. In addition, five credits can be claimed in the local category for developing and undertaking an audit of clinical personal practice. If you are experiencing difficulties, you should contact the CPD office for further advice. However, considerable flexibility has been built in the new CPD programme to accommodate all situations.
