I dont have excessive thirst and frequent urination, does it mean im not diabetic?
When I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, I did not have any of the classic symptoms of diabetes. I went from an A1C in the “normal” range in July of 2001, to an A1C of 16.9 in Nov of the same year. If it had not been for changing medical insurance and changing doctors, I would not have found out, until my need yearly exam in July 2002, or I had gotten blood drawn for testing for something before then. So just because you do not have symptoms does not mean you shouldn’t be tested for diabetes. Which is normally part of a normal lab draw for yearly physicals (if I’m not mistaken).
