Yes, they are all technically paintable, but some will give better results than others. Oak for instance has a really deep grain pattern. It’s really difficult to hide. Maple, popler, and other smooth grain woods should cover very well.

Yes. All wood products and such are paintable. Make sure, however, that you use the appropriate primer for the material.
