Is Ashworth University a good online college?
Ashworth University (also known as PCDI or Professional Career Development Institute) in Atlanta Ga is accredited by the Distance Education Training Council (DETC) which is recognized as an approved accreditor by the US Dept. of Education. It is therefor “not fake”. Understand though that DETC accreditation is not as highly regarded as regional accreditation (such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – SACS) and most regionally accredited colleges and universities won’t accept DETC transfer credit. This doesn’t make DETC ‘bad’ – it’s very good for what it is. If your intention is to learn this skill and then go to work then it will probably serve you fine. I’ve taken courses through them and they were well done. If your intention is to complete this program and then later transfer somewhere for a bachelor’s degree – you will face some challenges.
