Yes. The initial $25 contribution is tax-deductible. This is the amount that goes directly to Bicycle Colorado’s Share the Road Education Fund to improve bicycle safety education. We will send you a receipt for your tax records. Normal license fees and state specialty plate fees are not tax-deductible. Q: Does making the donation to Share the Road Education Fund guarantee that I will get Share the Road license plates? A: Initially, there will be a limited number of Share the Road license plates available at each of the county motor vehicle office sold on a first-come basis. If your local office runs out of Share the Road license plates before you get yours, you may have to wait a few weeks for their supply to be replenished.
