Is there a horn newsgroup? Why isn there a digest version of the mailing list?
A recent CFD/CFV for the group rec.music.makers.french-horn was submitted and passed by C. J. Liotta. While I personally find the name of the group anethema, it has passed according to all the guidelines and the group has been propogated. It is unclear at this point how the newsgroup and the mailing list will be tied together, but I believe C.J. is working with Dr. Greene on the issue. It may take some time before the two get “in sync”. Dr. Greene is working with his systems administration staff to get a digest version of the mailing list on-line; this is now possible since majordomo has been installed at Dr. Greene’s site. A “digest” takes all of a days postings and combines them into one message, for those users who only want to see a single post per day from the group. When this option becomes available, a message will be posted to the group with further information and instructions.
