Is there any routine maintenance required on a Steelman Burn-Off oven?
Steelman ovens are easy to operate and maintain, but there are some simple things that can be done to ensure smooth operation. Routine maintenance consists of observing water spray valves in operation before each operation, blowing out the burner air inlets on a weekly basis, every 3 to 6 months flush the strainers in the water spray system, inspect the inside and outside of the exhaust stack annually and repair as needed, leak test gas valves annually, and generally inspect the oven and repair any damage.
