Many people are curious about hypnosis. What type of self-hypnosis is used in the Mental Training Room?
In the Mental Training Room you will learn a type of hypnosis called Indirect Hypnosis which means that the athlete has complete control over the whole experience and can choose from a variety of suggestions to find the level of hypnosis that is most comfortable. This form of hypnosis usually produces a light trance experience. Interestingly enough, research has shown that light hypnosis states are generally all that is needed to bring about the attitudinal and motivational changes necessary to improve athletic performance.
