Yes, they should. Genesis 3:16 is nothing more than ignorance regarding the birthing process. In all honesty, the pain is a necessary evil because it is what makes it possible to push effectively. However, now that we have help and modern medicine, it is no longer necessary to endure the excruciating pain associated with child birth.

Depends on the birth! Complications make the pain worse. I had my first with pain relief and my second without any. It should be personal choice and no one should be made to feel guilty or ashamed. IT BLOODY HURTS!!

I think they should keep records of the ones that do use pain relief. That way we can cross reference the records when women complain about the pain of child birth, to see if that particular woman actually experienced that pain.
