Some companies say that aloe must have a specific level of Mucopolysaccharides to be effective. Is this true?
A. Mucopolysaccharides (MPS) is a term used by non-scientific aloe companies and is misleading. There are no mucopolysaccharides in natural aloe. “Muco” means that a protein is attached to the polysaccharide. Many companies add maltodextrin to the aloe sample that they send off to the lab. Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide (carbohydrate) that precipitates along with the natural ones in aloe, making the lab report falsely elevated. RBC does not do any of this. TRUAloe contains the entire gel filet. It is processed cold, with no filtration, to deliver the full potency of fresh aloe gel. TRUAloe contains 900-1200 mg of Acetylated Mannan Polysaccharides per bottle (1 quart).
