The brake warning light is on because the brake fluid is low, this can be caused by worn front brake pads so please have the brakes checked. I’m not sure exactly what is wrong with the egr system without having the trouble code but I would recommend replacing the valve if that’s the problem, there is the EGR valve and there is an EGR modulator valve which is much cheaper and is usually the cause of the problem.
