Was it always JBs understanding that the DOOM PATROL reboot would tie into INFINITE CRISIS?
JB: INFINITE CRISIS was barely a glimmer in anybody’s eye when I was approached to do DOOM PATROL. Mike Carlin and I discussed how to approach the project, realizing it would probably take six issues or more just to “rebuild” the Patrol to their proper shape — something we did not want for the start of a new series.
