Was the “lost” Jimi Hendrix/Stephen Stills album ever released?
To be fair, Janie and her father did a good job cleaning up the Hendrix catalog. It used to be you couldn’t even buy an album of posthumous Hendrix tracks that didn’t have newly recorded drum and bass overdubs. The family did a good job reorganizing everything so you could get all the old posthumous releases and live cuts on 5 or 6 CDs and feel confident that none of the instruments were re-recorded after Hendrix died. The only negative thing I will say about them is they sure work slowly. Case in point, the Stephen Stills releases. I’ve heard about these for a while now too. They have not been released. Keep hope, the Hendrix family is usually slow with releasing new material.
