Whats the difference between an editorial and a column?
An editorial, which runs on the left-hand side of the printed page, reflects the opinion of the entire editorial board. A column – which usually appears at the bottom of the page, with a name and photograph of the writer – is one editorial writer’s opinion. Often, columns by members of our editorial board reflect the opinion of the entire board, as well. But not always.
