What are Index Marks?
Index Marks are digital tags that can be inserted while recording or during playback. They are used to skip forward and backward in recordings to pre-selected points. Up to 32 Index Marks can be set in a single file. During recording or during playback, the [F3] Function button becomes the [INDEX] button used to insert Index Marks.

Up to 32 index marks can be added to a single file when recording in DSS Pro (.ds2) format. When the recorder is configured to record in Classic DSS (.dss) format, 16 index marks may be added to a single file. Index marks can also be inserted into a downloaded file in DSS Player Pro R5.
