What are MetaSynths hardware requirements?
MetaSynth runs comfortably on any Power Macintosh with a clock speed of 800 MHz or faster. All of MetaSynth’s sounds are loaded and processed in RAM, therefore the more RAM installed and allocated to MetaSynth, the longer the sounds and compositions you’ll be able to create. The number of voices that can be previewed in realtime is dependent on CPU-speed and some CPU-intensive processes, such as Spectrum Synthesis may stutter on slow machines. We recommend downloading the demo and trying it for yourself.
