There are four Mission Areas that collectively represent the institutional and operational Army – Warfighting, Intelligence, Enterprise Information Environment, and the Business Mission Area. The Business Mission Area consists of the functionally-based business mission capabilities that are provided by the Institutional Army in support of the Warfighter. The four Mission Areas (Warfighting, Intelligence, Enterprise Information Environment, and Business Mission Area) represent the operational Army.
