What are my rights under the DC Language Access Act as a LEP constituent?
Covered entities are required by the DC Language Access Act to take reasonable steps to provide LEP/NEP constituents with oral and written language services in their requested language. Such entities are also to provide greater access, in general, to the services, programs, and activities of the District. Should a LEP/NEP constituents requested language not meet covered entities threshold as defined by the Act, covered entities are to take reasonable steps to identify the language and assist LEP/NEP constituents in the requested language.
