What are seeds & leechers?
Seeds and leechers are the two types of peers that can be connected to a torrent.Seeds are the clients that have 100% of the data specified in a torrent. As long as the client doesn’t have a complete copy of the data of the torrent, it’s called a leecher. There has been a lot of confusion in the BitTorrent community about the word ‘leecher’. Within the community, this word is also used to refer to a person who downloads data, but never uploads in return. These people often get banned from trackers, making it impossible for them to download torrents that use those trackers.
