What are some crafty uses for glass Christmas ornaments, besides hanging them on the tree?

0

I have LOADS AND LOADS of round glass Christmas ornaments and a fairly small tree this year. I’ve used some in bowls on the end tables, and filled the inside of a glass cake stand with them, and still have a ton left. Any ideas? A: Buy a metal ‘wreath frame’ or whatever they’re called — sold at craft stores; round, stiff wire thing — and some reasonably flexible wire, and make a wreath out of them. If at least some are the little ones — you need ’em to fill in the spaces — and the colours go well together, the finished effect is quite nice. This gives some idea, though I was thinking of it without the greenery: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectsheet?pid=24213a This is okay, too; a bit disco: http://scribblesnbits.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/multicolored_kissing_ball Unless you’re getting a larger tree next year, making something semi-permanent with them will save you having to tack up and take down every single last one wherever…
