What are the causes of fresh water shortages?
1.34 billion cubic km of water is available on earth but 96.5% of water is found in the sea that is saline.only 0.0002% is running water, and 0.76% is groundwater. so you see we already have very less freshwater at our disposal. with the booming population and increasing number of industreis our usage of freshwater is also increasing. thats is the reason for the shortage of freshwater.
