Unfinished flooring allows you many more options to the stain color and the sheen level of the floor. Unfinished flooring would allow a little longer average length floor. Pre-finished allows for a faster installation without the dust of sanding and finishing an unfinished floor. Pre-finished flooring will have a very small bevel edge that is not used on unfinished flooring.
