What are the main differences between Physcology and Philosophy?

Good question, the main difference I think is that psychology centres around the human mind or psyche while philosophy centres more around big questions in life like whether or not God exists. This is not to say that the two paths do not overlap. Feuerbach made an argument (more of a social comment) saying that “what man needs he makes his God” and “what man wishes to be he makes his God” this is basically saying that man, who needs the security of a God and aspires to the perfect personality has invented God. This argument crosses along both psychology and philosophy. Feuerbach was supported by Sigmund Freud who commented favourably on this argument. In an argument such as this, a psychologist would be interested in the side that centres on the human mind whereas a philosopher would be asking about whether or not this proves that God doesn’t exist (it doesn’t but you don’t want to hear about that). I hope this answered your question.
