What are the possible consequences of mismanaging conflict of interest situations?
If a conflict of interest situation is not managed appropriately, the consequences to you and RIT can include, but are not limited to: • Damage to the reputation of the Institute and the individuals involved • Compromised research subject safety • Compromised data integrity • Unfavorable press coverage • Loss of research funds • Investigation by federal, state, or Institute entities or officials • Criminal prosecution • Civil legal action • Disciplinary action
