What caused city growth during the industrial revolution?
The cities were the point of population growth as they formed natural shipping “basins” for raw commodities, and likewise had the transportation facilities,especially shippoing ports, to ship the finished goods. They also offered a larger number of skilled artisans to draw from to maintain the more sophisticated equipment.
