What does the ORAC scale mean?
ORAC is an acronym for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. It was developed by the scientists at the National Institute on Aging in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is a common methodology in measuring the antioxidant content of fruits and vegetables. The correlation between high antioxidant fruits and vegetables is believed to play an important role in the free radical theory of aging. The açai blended in V is considered to be of the highest quality and tops the ORAC scale.
