What happens if the storm drain near my house is full of leaves or litter?

Stopped up storm drains can cause flooding. If there are leaves or trash are on top of the drain, you can pick them up and dispose of them properly in your trash (for the litter) and yardwaste bin (for the leaves). If the storm drain is clear on top, but full down below, please call us at 644-8949 and let us know about the problem. We will inspect the drain and clean it if necessary. Do not attempt to clean inside the storm drain.
