Note the damage on the ‘Inspection Report’, sign it, and keep a copy for yourself. You should still pay the required amount of money for the service or a claim may not be filed. Communicate to the Carrier about the damage; most small damages can be handled internally without a claim being filed. A claim needs to be filed in writing within 14 days so make sure it is settled within that time. If the Carrier is not forthcoming with the insurance information, contact your broker.
