What is CFI of Southern Arizona?
CFI of Southern Arizona, or CFI-SAZ, is a group of rationalists, skeptics, and humanists in and around the Tucson area (including Green Valley, Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Benson, and elsewhere) who have joined together to provide an ethical alternative to religious and paranormal worldviews, protect civil liberties, defend reason, and to work toward increasing scientific literacy in Arizona. To achieve this goal, CFI-SAZ sponsors local events, activism, lectures and educational programs. We draw upon volunteers and Center for Inquiry Friends and supporters who are enthusiastic about our agenda and wish to take part in our movement. In addition, CFI-SAZ sponsors social events for freethinkers as well as intellectual programming, and assists with campus outreach.
