What is Helter-Skelter and what or who is Hare Krishna?
A helter-skelter is a special slide found at British fairgrounds or amusement parks. However, convicted murderer Charles Manson interpreted the Beatles’ song to mean that a war between the races, and the apocolypse was destined to happen, and he sent out his followers to commit murders. John Lennon said that Manson read something into the song that just wasn’t there. “Helter-skelter” is defined in Webster’s dictionary as: hurried and confused; disorderly. The Hare Krishnas are followers of a specific religious belief. There is a misconception that the Krishna movement represents the Hindu religion. However, Krishna consciousness is not a faith or religion that seeks to defeat other faiths or religions. Rather, it is a cultural movement for the entire human society.
