Algol is the name of Concordia’s Microsoft Exchange e-mail server. An Exchange account is basically a mini-database, on the Exchange Server, where you store all of your e-mail, contacts, calendar information, tasks, notes, etc. Everything is frequently backed up by IITS in order to ensure that it is not lost. If you have an exchange account, your e-mail address would be netname@algol.concordia.ca.
