What is synthetic and natural ph indicators?

0

Synthetic pH indicators are those that are manmade in a lab, such as litmus paper. Litmus paper contains naturally occurring substances that indicate pH levels, but the item as a whole is made in a lab. Naturally occurring pH indicators are those that – you guessed it – occur naturally, and need not be created. Examples of natural indicators are cabbage juice, lime juice, and grape juice. Natural pH indicators are good, but not as good as their manmade counterparts. Determining the exact differences in pH levels is easier done with litmus paper than with say, grape juice. Hope that helps you!
