When talking about either JACKOPIERCE or Vertical Horizon, the two are nearly synonymous. JACKOPIERCE discovered Vertical Horizon back in early 1992. Jack and Cary heard their music and liked it. They took Matt and Keith under their wing and showed them the ropes. VH would open up shows for JP on the road quite often and helped them to establish other contacts in the music business. These contacts eventually allowed Vertical Horizon to open for bands like Better Than Ezra and the Allman Brothers Band. Both JACKOPIERCE & Vertical Horizon are still great friends to this day.
