What is the difference between a gifted education program and the mainstream curriculum?
Our program is unique in that we are offering programs specifically designed and developed to meet the needs of the gifted student, both educationally and socially in a single cohesive integrated environment! Our students conquer the mainstream curriculum as required by the Province of Alberta, but at an individualized and often faster rate than traditional educational facilities.New Horizons also encourages the students to explore areas of interest to themselves by use of Individual Study projects that are to be presented to their fellow classmates during the year. These projects allow students to research and learn about their chosen topic, develop unique and creative presentations, and build self-confidence in their public speaking abilities.
