What is the difference between hypnosis counseling and meditation?
Trance state is trance state, regardless of the name you give it, and it “feels” the same. The difference is that meditation is like getting into your car and just driving with no clear destination simply to experience the drive. Hypnosis counseling is like having an experienced and knowledgeable passenger with a well mapped route leading you directly to your particular goal. Neither is more useful than the other, but each serves it’s own individual purpose. In meditation, you enter this trance state with no clear “destination” in mind, but may find that in the process you learn and grow as a person. Many have found that they are able to open their minds in ways they never before knew possible, and is a very worthwhile practice. With hypnosis counseling, a person enters this trance state with a clear goal or objective in mind, such as reducing stress or losing weight.
