The amount of the voted millage can only collect the amount of dollars that were approved at the time the levy was introduced. As property values increase, the millage amount collected will decrease. At no time can the millage be charged more than what was originally approved. (Effective millage) Currently, our voted millage for operating is 46.39 and the effective rate for Residential/Agricultural rate is 28.30 mills. An additional 3.0 mills are added for the inside millage. The 2.75 Permanent Improvement levy effective millage rate is currently 2.24 mills.
