What is the difference between Marketing and Mass Communications?
Marketing is about packaging a product to maximise returns from that product. It is about selling. Mass Communications is a tool to facilitate marketing through the process of communication.I have heard that your course is too theoretical. As a part of university education, it is important for students to develop conceptual and analytical skills through theory building. Hence, some of the courses will necessarily be theoretical. However, you will also receive essential technical training as you would at a polytechnic. We also have a 24-week internship and a practicum. The practicum enables students to develop hands-on training in journalism, radio and television broadcasting.
