What is the Fregenet Kidan Lehitsanat School?
The Fregenet School is a kindergarten established in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, exclusively for underprivileged children. It opened its doors and became operational on November 9, 2004. The school is currently housed in a rented facility. It is furnished with desks, chairs, books, in addition to playground and teaching materials it also has sufficient mats for naps and feeding utensils for the lunch and snacks it provides to the children free of charge. The Fregenet Foundation selected the current location for the school based on a need assessment study that showed 85% of the population in the surrounding area lived in poverty. Currently, the Fregenet Kidan Lehitsanat School is what the Foundation is all about.
