What is the recovery for breast lift surgery?
The procedure is usually well tolerated. The pain level is moderate for about 2-3 days. After that most patients do not need strong pain medications. The discomfort may be longer if a breast implant is used and placed under the muscle. The chest tightness usually lasts for about 1-2 weeks. The patients wear a surgical bra for about 3 weeks during which time the swelling decreases and the breast settles into its new shape. Drains are not usually used.
