There is no magic number that every coil ever made in all circumstances would give. Servicing AC systems is not that easy. The air temperature should be what it is when the house is being cooled. Each separate air conditioner will be whatever it is depending upon the outdoor and indoor conditions, ductwork insulation and location, and the design engineering and refrigerant used. We get this question once or twice a week during the summer in hopes that the owner will be able to whip out a thermometer and be able to instantly tell the condition of the air conditioner – not the way it is. As each house is a different design with a different brand and model of air conditioner under changing local conditions, the air temperature can be anywhere from 40F to 70F when the unit is working.
