In Canada there is no statute of limitations on child support payment obligations, according to the National Child Support Enforcement Association. Before the 2002 passage of the new Limitations Act, “The old Limitations Act provided for a 20-year limitation period for the enforcement of a support order,” specifies the NCSEA. The current Act has no limit for enforcement of Canadian child support orders.Source:National Child Support Enforcement AssociationMore Information:Canlii: Federal Child Support GuidelinesCanadian Dept.
