A-4: The UIIE-1, CA23-17 and TE23-17B endorsement is the Truckers Uniform Intermodal Interchange Endorsement. This is a hold harmless endorsement and is required to be part of the motor carrier’s auto liability policy. Any of the above endorsement forms are acceptable, however the endorsement must be the current version of the form. Insurance agents can provide either the actual signed endorsement or state on the certificate of insurance that one of the above acceptable endorsements is part of the auto policy. Please note if more than one auto policy is provided on the certificate, this endorsement must be endorsed to all the policies.
