What is URL forwarding?
“Forwarding” simply forwards all requests for a domain to some other URL or web address. You could use this if your dial-up provider (for example AOL, Sprint, Geocities or Netcom) has given you some directory space and you want requests for your domain to be redirected to your own pages. This is a great option. You can publicize your new domain name on company correspondence, letterhead, and business cards. Your existing Web site’s address will still be visible in the browser location window, but your visitors will be able to access your site by typing in your new domain name. Example: Your New Domain: http://www.JimsHotLinks.com Link it to: http://www.geocities.com/members/000212/ Note: Your domain name must have been registered by homedns.com. The Web site you link to also must be active.
