What kind of work does Life Funds for North Korean Refugees do?
• Work with defectors from North Korea • Provision of food and a basic education to children who fled North Korea, through our Education Sponsorship Plan • Provision of food, clothing, and medical supplies to those living in poverty in North Korea (without going through internal channels) • Lobbying for the recognition of the refugee status of defectors from North Korea, and the dissemination of information about them both domestically and internationally • Assistance of North Korean refugees, as well as humanitarian activists, who have been imprisoned by Chinese authorities • Provision of resettlement assistance to defectors who have reached Japan
