What medical services are available in Bamfield?
A Red Cross Outpost Hospital, staffed by a Registered Nurse, is located on the east side of Bamfield. The clinic is equipped to handle minor medical emergencies and ailments. Patients with severe medical symptoms or injuries will be evacuated by helicopter or other means to the nearest, appropriate medical centre. Anyone with serious medical conditions should be evaluated by their physician before travelling to Bamfield. Visitors should bring an adequate supply of prescription medications with them as the closest pharmacy is located in Port Alberni.
