What qualifications do GLS Outings Leaders have?
Outings Leaders have Basic First Aid certification for hikes and Wilderness First Aid certification for overnight trips. They also are fun, outgoing people who enjoy sharing their love and experience with the wilderness and environment. They have advanced skills, such as route finding, that are suitable for the particular outing. They are aware of group safety and know when to head back if trail conditions deteriorate.
