Standard sizes for residential gutter installations are as follows: Gutters = 5″ and Downspouts = 2×3, dependant on the situation the downspout size may be upgraded to 3×4. Homes with larger roofs and steep pitch lines may opt for a 6″ gutter which is always installed along with 3×4 downspouts.
