What were some of the offices held by James Logan?
Logan, perhaps best known for being William Penn’s secretary, was also President of the Provincial Council, Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and Mayor of Philadelphia. Logan Square, located between 18th and 20th Streets on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, was named for him. Source: Fairmount Park, a History and Guidebook, 1974, p.153, Esther M. Klein, 917.
